- Basket loader robot for glass bottles
HRS, for an important German winery which produces sparkling wine with the Classic Method, has supplied a solution with an anthropomorphic arm to automate the picking of glass bottles and their subsequent positioning inside a metal basket (process of the 2nd fermentation in the bottle – refinement on the yeasts).
The bottles arrive in a single row in a vertical position, then a 6-axis robot, with a special picking head picks up the first row of bottles, then picks up the second and places them in a horizontal position inside the container.
The robot is programmed to perform two different types of deposits: one in which all the bottles are oriented in the same position while a second in which within the same layer one row is oriented with the cap in one direction while the other row is positioned the other way around.
Specific safety devices have been designed and implemented to allow the operator to unload the complete basket in complete safety.
